There is an indescribable bond that can develop between a human and an animal which is a gift to anyone who has ever experienced such a connection.
When painting a portrait, it is important to me that I capture the essence of the animal.
I like to work from many photos, allowing me to see all the nuances and include them in the portrait. To the left is a photo of "Harley." This handsome young Boston Terrier obviously full of himself :)
